Yesterday we talked about taking care of our breasts by examining them for lumps once a month and stopping the use of commercial deodorants containing aluminum salts. Today, I’m going to give you two essential oil formulas. One is a breast toning massage oil and the other is a soothing formula for sore breasts. For any of you who currently have breast cancer and an impending surgery, use the soothing massage oil before surgery and the toning massage oil after.
If you find a lump in your breast, please do not panic. Many times the lump you find is due to monthly cycle related problems. Of course, you should see your doctor if you find a lump or have breast pain. I do faithfully have my yearly mammogram too. One year after my mammogram I was asked to come back in and have another test because they found three small lumps. After the second test and several days of me agonizing about it, they found that it was just some extra fluid in my mammary glands and nothing to worry about.
There is no room in this blog for me to tell you about the firming and toning exercises you can do for your breasts but you can find that out at your local YWCA. After excercising, massage your breast area in a circular pattern once a day with the toning massage oil. If your breasts are sore for any reason, use the soothing massage oil in the same pattern. For both formulas, combine the essential oils and add them to 2 tablespoons of a good carrier oil like sweet almond, jojoba, grape seed or liquid shea oil.
BREAST TONING MASSAGE OIL
- Geranium – 8 drops
- Lemongrass – 10 drops
- Clary-sage – 5 drops
- Carrot – 5 drops
SORE BREAST SOOTHING MASSAGE OIL
- Chamomile Roman – 10 drops
- Geranium - 5 drops
- Lavender – 10 drops
- Carrot – 5 drops
